We tend to underestimate how long stuff takes. We forget to factor in the little things -- even the ones we can predict -- and as a result, it's WAY too easy to feel like we're struggling to keep up.
To overcome this, calendar EVERYTHING you can, and overestimate when possible. You'll end up with a much better sense of what you can realistically get done in a day (or a week, or a month), and you might even find that every once in a while, you're ahead of schedule.
